Welcome To Ithaca FreeSkool: Guerrilla Film Club...Ithaca,NY
Starting on June 2, Yes, that's THIS YEAR :-), and ending on August 28...the group will begin meeting every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (6pm to 8pm) at the Pegasys Cable Access Studio located at 612 W. Green St. in Ithaca, NY 14850. Each person will come up with an idea they want to produce for a video/film that is between 2 and 10 minutes in length. Obviously, we can work out ideas that are longer...but that will most likely require a budget and extend beyond the term of the FreeSkool class.
Once we have all chosen an idea we want to produce, we all get together and decide which projects we want to work on. There are no limits to the number of projects you can contribute to (except your time and energy) and the only requirement is that every project has enough crew to complete pre-production, principal photography, and post production...that way, we all have incentive because we all guarantee that our projects get done.
One benefit of this group is that we will be video recording the entire process, and airing the results on Pegasys as a reality style cable access program. We will all work together and decide how best to edit, distribute and market the final products. I can be consulted, and I know others who may also be of help, once our projects are in the can and we want to start showing off the final cut. Well, that's the basic gist of it. Oh, before I go let me also point out that the group will be as flexible as possible with people that have limited scheduling availability. As long as you can commit to the shooting days for each project you are working on, then all is well.
